2009 Capital Needs Study

The 2009 ACI-NA Capital Needs Survey found that U.S. airports’ capital development costs for 2009 through 2013 totaled $94.3 billion, up 8 percent from the 2007 survey.

2007 Capital Needs Study

The ACI-NA total estimate of airports’ capital development costs for 2007 through 2011, adjusted for inflation, is $87.4 billion or $17.5 billion annualized. This is a 22.2 percent increase over the 2005 estimate of $71.5 billion or $14.3 billion annualized for 2005 through 2009.

 

2005 Capital Needs Study

Based on a survey of 81 airports representing 81% of the total industry passenger activity, the 2005 ACI-NA Capital Needs Survey estimates that airport capital development costs will total more than $71.5 billion between 2005-2009 or a yearly average of approximately $14.3 billion.
