Peters to Present Keynote Address at ACI-NA Conference
Secretary Peters to discuss current and future aviation issues with airport professionals

Washington, D.C. (August 8, 2007) - Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA) today announced the Honorable Mary Peters, U.S. Secretary of Transportation, will act as a keynote speaker at its 2007 Annual Conference in Kansas City, Missouri, on October 1. Secretary Peters will discuss the aviation industry's growing need for improved infrastructure and the Administration's commitment to safely and efficiently accommodate increased passenger and cargo operations.

"Her dedication to modernizing the airport and air traffic system and her visionary leadership in looking to shape the future of air transportation make her a wonderful asset to this year's conference." 

ACI-NA's 16th Annual Conference and Exhibition, September 30-October 3, will bring together aviation executives and more than 2,000 attendees from 150 airports across the U.S. and Canada to discuss the critical issues facing aviation including FAA reauthorization, customer service, security, air service and trends in global climate and emissions issues. Focusing on a theme of "Exploring Gateways to Global Opportunity" the conference will highlight current and emerging trends in the aviation industry.
