Washington, D.C. (February 15, 2008)
— Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) announced today the addition of Monica Hargrove Kemp as General Counsel. Kemp most recently served as Associate General Counsel of US Airways.

“We look forward to the addition of Monica to our team and welcome her assistance as we help airports enhance safety, security and capacity to better serve passengers,” said Greg Principato, ACI-NA President.  “Monica’s extensive legal experience in regulatory matters, environmental issues, antitrust issues and litigation management will greatly benefit the airport industry.”

Kemp will begin her new position at ACI-NA on February 19.  She will serve as ACI-NA's senior in-house counsel and direct ACI-NA's participation in airport-related litigation and policy related to legal matters.

At US Airways Kemp was involved in a variety of key aviation issues including capacity constraints at slot controlled airports, the US Airways/British Airways Alliance, the United/US Airways joint marketing relationship and the regulation of computer reservations systems.

Prior to her employment with US Airways, Kemp was a trial attorney for the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D. C. She served as Vice-Chairperson of the Transportation Committee of the Antitrust Section of the American Bar Association (ABA) as well as Co-Chairperson of the ABA Corporate Counseling Committee.

Monica received her law degree from University of Michigan Law School. She is also a graduate of Dartmouth College.
