ACI-NA Welcomes McElroy as Senior Vice President, Government Affairs
Washington,
D.C. (October 31, 2006) - Airports Council International-North America
(ACI-NA) announced today the addition of Deborah Costolo McElroy as
Senior Vice President, Government Affairs. McElroy currently serves as
president of the Regional Airline Association (RAA), a Washington,
D.C.-based trade association that represents the interests of
short-haul scheduled airlines and their supplier companies. She has
more than 20 years of experience in aviation, regulatory and trade
issues.

respected leader in Washington, D.C., aviation circles join our team,
said Greg Principato, ACI-NA President. "Debby has an admirable track
record of achievement on behalf of regional airlines and is well-known
for her lobbying and policy expertise. With such an important year
coming up for the aviation industry, we're pleased that Debby will be
advocating for airports."
McElroy will begin her new role at
ACI-NA in mid-December. She will be overseeing the management of
ACI-NA's Government Affairs Department and will manage the efforts of a
lobbying firm on behalf of ACI-NA. She will also be involved in policy
and message development.
In her position at RAA, McElroy has
conducted Capitol Hill lobbying for the association and acted as RAA
spokesman with the aviation and general press, related government
agencies and aviation organizations. She has developed and implemented
association policy on a wide variety of regulatory issues.
McElroy
is the 2006 President of the Board of Governors for the Aero Club of
Washington. She also serves on the NGATS Institute Management Council,
the Flight Safety Foundation's Board of Governors, and the RTCA Policy
Board. She participates in the Transportation Security Administration's
Aviation Security Advisory Committee, the U.S. Transportation Research
Board's Regional Aviation Subcommittee and several FAA advisory
committees.
Prior to joining RAA in 1987, she was employed by
the U.S. International Trade Commission as their senior aerospace
industry analyst and the U.S. Department of Labor as an international
economist. McElroy is a graduate of the University of Maryland, with a
degree in economics.
