North American Airports Elect New Board Members
Jacksonville CEO John Clark to Serve as 2009 Chairman
(Boston, Sept. 24, 2008) -- During its Annual General Membership Business meeting on Sept. 24, members of Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) elected a new slate of officers and four new members to its Board of Directors.
Incoming Chairman is John D. Clark, III, Executive Director and CEO of Jacksonville Aviation Authority. G. Hardy Acree, Director of Airports, Sacramento County Airport System, will serve as First Vice Chairman, while Frank Miller, Airport Director of Pensacola Regional Airport will serve as Second Vice Chairman. Thella Bowens, President and CEO of San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, was elected Secretary-Treasurer.
New members of the Board of Directors include, for Class A/B airports, Iftikhar Ahmad, Director of Aviation, City of Dayton Department of Aviation; and Bradley Livingston, Airport Director, Dane County Regional Airport; for Class C/D airports, members elected Raul Regalado, President and CEO, Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority; and for Canadian Airports, William Restall, President and CEO, Saskatoon Airport Authority.
On Sept. 21, the ACI-NA Board of Directors elected Thomas Kinton, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Port Authority, as a new Board member, effective immediately.
Other membership announcements made by 2008 Board Chair Randall H. Walker, Director of Aviation, Clark County Department of Aviation, included news of additional 2009 Board appointments. Commissioners’ committee representatives to the 2009 Board include David G. Jennings, Chairman, Charleston County Aviation Authority; and Jim Ethridge, Commissioner, Memphis-Shelby Country Airport Authority. Associate Members’ Representative to the Board is Susan Kurland, Director, Depfa First Albany Securities LLC.
ACI-NA members also approved the appointments of John D. Clark and Frank R Miller to the ACI World Governing Board.
