 Washington, D.C. (December 4, 2007) Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) announced Dec. 3 the election of 2008 officers for its Associates Board of Directors. Susan Kurland, Director, Depfa First Albany Securities LLC, was elected by her colleagues to serve as Chairman of the 2008 ACI-NA Associates Board of Directors. Robert A. Hazel, Director, Oliver Wyman, was elected to serve as Vice Chairman. Both the chairman and the vice chairman are elected for one-year terms.


The Associates Board leadership will allow the World Business Partner and Associate Member program to continue to be an invaluable resource for all of ACI-NA’s airport members,” said Amy Peters, ACI-NA Vice President, Business Development and staff liaison to the Associates Board of Directors.  “The over 400 aviation-related businesses in the program will strengthen the voice of airports in the aviation industry.”

The mission of ACI-NA’s Associates Board of Directors is to make available to ACI-NA and its airport members’ expertise and commitment to improve airport operations and development; commercial activities; safety, security and quality customer service through the exchange of information; and business opportunities.

Other new members of the 2008 Associates Board, elected for three-year terms, include: Les Cappetta, Chief Executive Officer, Creative Host Services; Angela Gittens, Vice President, Airport Business Services, HNTB Corporation; Laddie Irion, Vice President/Director, Air Transportation, URS; and Randy Pope, Associate Vice President Aviation & Facilities Group, Burns & McDonnell.
