ACI-NA Pleased ATW Recognizes CAAFI for Leadership in Alternative Jet Fuel Development

WASHINGTON— Greg Principato, president of Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA), issued the following statement on the Commercial Aviation Alternative Fuels Initiative’s (CAAFI) receipt of the 2010 Joseph S. Murphy Industry Service Award, presented by Air Transport World (ATW) magazine.

“The Commercial Aviation Alternative Fuels Initiative is deserving of this prestigious award for their work in developing commercially viable and sustainable alternative jet fuels. ACI-NA has long supported this work, as one the founding members of CAAFI. Their commitment to ensure that new fuels can be integrated into current airport infrastructure without significant operational, financial or environmental impacts is to be commended. Our members are pleased to be part of this industry effort, and we applaud ATW for recognizing the leadership of CAAFI with the Joseph S. Murphy Industry Service Award."
