ASSIST Advisory to Select Airport Test Sites

ACI-NA Public Safety and Security Committee is partnering with the National Safe Skies Alliance (NSSA) to test a technology, system or service to address federal security rules.  This partnership created the Aviation Security System Integrated Support Testing Program (ASSIST) Task Force, which is made up of airport and associate members. By mid-July, the group will evaluate and select the airports to test  some new technology. Some of the technology proposed includes: infra-red, continuous wave laser illumination camera system; thermal imaging tracking and solar powered infrared beam security systems to detect and deter unauthorized movement or objects within regulated areas. 

The ASSIST Program will use funds granted to NSSA by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
