Insurance & Risk Management Conference a Success in San Diego

The 2010 Insurance & Risk Management Conference, held in San Diego in January, was a success, with nearly 100 members in attendance from the airport insurance, risk management, and safety sectors. Participants of this conference enjoyed a variety of sessions, with topics ranging from an industry market update to how to deal with a pandemic, Medicare Set Aside, and a discussion on different airport safety issues.

In addition to the conference program, the Insurance & Risk Management Committee held its annual meeting. Members were given the opportunity to discuss important committee issues including the 2010 workplan, and what projects the committee would like to take on this year. Among those are the release of the Escalator and Moving Walkway Survey, working with ACI-NA’s Legal Committee, and possibly revisiting the terrorism insurance issue that was discussed at last year’s committee meeting.

Going forward, members will be given the opportunity this year to engage in more discussions on various insurance and risk management topics through webinars and surveys developed by committee members as well as participate on the newly reformed working groups Compliance & Regulatory Affairs and Benefits, in addition to the ongoing working groups Safety & Loss Control, Finance & Insurance, and Strategy.

Presentations from this conference are now available in the ACI-NA E-Library, or by clicking here.
