FAA Updates AIP Payment Policy

Executive Summary: The Federal Aviation Administration announced an update to the AIP Grant Payment and Sponsor Financial Reporting Policy effective immediately and superseding all grant payment and financial reporting requirements established in FAA Order 5100.38C, AIP Handbook.

Who is Impacted: All airports that receive AIP grants.

Background: Principal changes include the following:

  1. Section 6.8 provides additional information when rejecting a payment request,
  2. Section 6.9 provides revision of the final 10% payment policy, and
  3. Section 7 provides additional guidance to the credit memo process
