FAA updated Application Status of Chicago Midway and Luis Munoz Marin


FAA recently added the following item(s) to the Airport News and New Resources page (www.faa.gov/airports/news_information/news/) on the FAA website:

Updated Airport Privatization Pilot Program Fact Sheet
The Fact Sheet reflects the updated application status of Chicago Midway and Luis Munoz Marin Airports.

The revised preliminary application from the Chicago Midway International Airport was received on December 28, 2012. The FAA has 30 days to review the preliminary application.

Preliminary application from the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport located in San Juan, Puerto Rico was approved December 22, 2009. Airport Sponsor published a Request for Qualifications in July 2011. Sponsor selected Aerostar Airport Holdings on July 19, 2012, to become the private operator. The FAA held a public meeting on September 28, 2012, to hear comments on the final preliminary application. The FAA expects to make a final decision in February 2013.
