CBP Announces Global Entry Kiosks Being Placed at Canadian Preclearance Airports

During our Facilitation conference call last week, Vancouver International Airport reported that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has placed Global Entry kiosks at YVR and other Canadian airports (YUL and YYZ) mentioned that they would also be receiving them.

Today, CBP issued a press release announcing that Global Entry kiosks are now available at YVR and Ottawa’s MacDonald-Cartier International Airport.  The Global Entry kiosks will be available at Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport and Toronto’s Lester Pearson International Airport by September.

These kiosks at Canadian preclearance airports are the result of CBP integrating its Global Entry and NEXUS trusted traveler programs.  This means that Global Entry participants may use the kiosks at the airports mentioned when departing Canada for the US.  NEXUS participants may use either the Global Entry or NEXUS kiosks in those preclearance airports.
