Airport Kiosk Webinar Recording Online

Thank you to all those who participated in our Airport Kiosk Accessibility Requirements Webinar yesterday. The webinar provided a platform for representatives from the DOT and U.S. Access Board to brief ACI-NA members on the kiosk accessibility requirements that apply specifically to airports under the final rule.  There was also a lively Q&A session between our members and our speakers which provided the opportunity for a variety of questions related to the topic to be answered.

Background: The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) recently issued a final rule on the accessibility of air travel for passengers with disabilities, amending 14 CFR Part 382 and 49 CFR Part 27 to include new requirements for airport kiosk accessibility.  Under the amendments to 49 CFR Part 27, airports are required to work with their airline partners to ensure that new shared-use kiosks installed at airports meet the accessibility standard and are maintained in working order.
