2008 Media Relations & Crisis Communications Seminar

OVERVIEW

Faced with the voracious media environment requiring 24/7 responses and blogs, and travelers videotaping airport and airplane incidents, airport media relations and communications professionals will learn how to respond quickly and on message. The seminar will start on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 2, 2008 with a tour of DFW International Airport and a welcome reception. Sessions will be held all day on Thursday, April 3, 2008 and Friday, April 4, 2008.

SPONSORSHIPS

ACI-NA will accept voluntary sponsorships for its conferences and events. ACI-NA Members have first preference in sponsorship opportunities. Sponsorship opportunities are officially open as of Monday, December 17, 2007. All sponsorships will be available to ACI-NA Members on a first-come, first-served basis, and will be awarded by date and time stamp on reply e-mail or fax. After Thursday, February 21, 2008, any remaining sponsorship opportunities will be made available to non-members.

HOST EVENT

If you plan to attend the host event at La Buena Vida Winery on Thursday, April 3 please note that transportation will be provided.  If you plan to attend this event please also note that you must be prompt if you would like to use the transportation being provided by DFW Airport.  The bus will leave from the main entrance promptly at 5:45 pm.  If you are not on the bus by 5:45 pm you can still attend the event but transportation will not be provided for you.

Conference Hotel:

All conference sessions will take place at the Hyatt Regency DFW. Please call the Hyatt Regency DFW  at (972) 453-1234 or (800)233-1234  to make room reservations. Be sure to identify yourself as being with the 2008 ACI-NA Media Relations Seminar to receive the special rate of $169 for single/double occupancy. 

The hotel cut-off date to make hotel reservations at the group rate is  Wednesday, March 19, 2008. Reservations made after this date can oly be accepted on a space- & rate-available basis. The hotel may sell out of rooms or the conference rate before the cutoff date. Make your reservations early!
