OVERVIEW

A primary purpose of the Commissioners Congressional Reception is to support the ACI-NA Commissioners scholarship fund. In October of 1993, the ACI-NA Commissioners established the fund to support students of high academic standards who are working toward a career in airport management or airport administration.

The winners of the 2009 scholarship will be recognized at the event. The reception also ties in the tradition of honoring members of Congress and the Administration for their support of airports and air transportation. Finally, the reception is a tremendous opportunity to socialize and network with members of Congress, congressional staff, members of the Administration, and your fellow colleagues.

The ACI-NA Commissioners Congressional Reception (held in conjunction with the ACI-NA/AAAE Spring Washington Conference) on Thursday evening, March 26, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Russell Senate Office Building, Room 328-A (Agriculture committee hearing room). Registration for the Spring Washington Conference does not include a ticket to the Commissioners Congressional Reception. Separate ticket purchase is required.

ACI-NA SCHOLARSHIP FUND

 
The ACI-NA Commissioners Scholarship Fund is independently administered by the University Aviation Association (UAA). 
 
The University Aviation Association (UAA)  plays a pivotal role in the advancement of degree-granting aviation programs that represent all segments of the aviation industry. As a non-profit organization, UAA is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  Therefore, your gift to the ACI-NA Commissioners Scholarship fund is tax-deductible to the full extent provided by law.
 
Contributions to the ACI-NA Scholarship fund should be made payable to "ACI-NA Commissioners Scholarship Fund" and mailed to the following address:

*Please note, ACI-NA cannot accept scholarship contributions on behalf of UAA.  Please be sure to mail contributions to the above UAA address.

HOTEL/TRAVEL INFORMATION

The reception will take place at the Russell Senate Office Building, Room 253*.

Directions to Event:
(Note: Security guards will be available to provide directions.)

Via Taxi: Drivers should be aware of the Russell Building and its location. Arrive at the Southwest corner of the Russell Senate Office Building (intersection of Constitution Ave. and Deleware Ave.). Enter the building and clear the security check point. Follow the left hallway to the end. Room 253 will be on your right. ACI-NA registration will be outside the room.

Via Metro: Exit Union Station (Red Line). Follow Columbus Circle around until you reach Delaware Ave. NE. Continue Southwest on Delaware Ave. approximately 3 blocks until you reach C St. The Russell Senate Office Building entrance is on the left. Enter the building and clear the security check point. Follow the right hallway. Room 253 will be immediately on your left. ACI-NA registration will be outside the room.
