OVERVIEW

The ACI-NA Marketing and Communications Conference and JumpStart® Air Service Development Program attracts over 350 attendees and is the second largest ACI-NA event, following the ACI-NA Annual conference. Air service, customer service, marketing, media relations and public relations professionals from both large and small airports attend.

The first two and a half days cover the various disciplines of marketing and communications including community relations, customer service, public relations, marketing, air service development and communications.

The 2008 Conference theme in Pittsburgh is “Building Partnerships in Evolving Environments.” Keynote speakers include airline CEO Robert Fornaro, AirTran Airways, among others.

The last day features the JumpStart® Air Service Development program, where airport representatives meet one-on-one with airline route professionals in an exhibition-like setting.

ACI-NA will accept voluntary sponsorships for its conferences and events.  ACI-NA Members have first preference in sponsorship opportunities.

Sponsorships for this meeting are officially open as of Thursday, February 14, 2008.  All sponsorships will be available to ACI-NA Members on a first-come, first-servced basis, and will be awarded by date and time stamp on reply e-mail or fax.

After Thursday, May 1, 2008, any remaining sponsorship opportunities will be made available to non-members.

CONFERENCE VENUE DETAILS

Conference Hotel:
All conference sessions will take place at the Hilton Pittsburgh.  The Hilton Pittsburgh is located at 600 Commonwealth Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15222. Please call (412) 391-4600 or (800) HILTONS (445-8667) to make room reservations.

Be sure to identify yourself as being with Airports Council International-North America to receive the special rate of $139 USD single / $159 USD double occupancy.

The hotel cut off date to make reservations at the group rate is Friday, May 23, 2008. Reservations made after this date can only be accepted on a space- & rate-available basis.

Please be advised that the hotel may sell out of rooms or the conference rate before the cut off date. Make your reservations early!

Airport and Ground Transportation:
Ground transportation information

A taxi ride from the Pittsburgh International Airport to the Hilton is approximately $35 one-way and takes about 30 minutes, depending upon traffic.

There is also an Express Hotel Shuttle that runs from the airport to the hotel (before going to other hotels). The cost is $20.

The 28X Flyer, a public shuttle bus, leaves about every ½ hour from the airport. The cost $2.75 and it stops on the side entrance to the Hilton.

For all three options go down to baggage claim- for cabs and the 28X just go to Ground Transportation (curb side) and the places for pick-up are marked.  For the Airport Transportation Express Shuttle there is a desk in Baggage Claim.

One-way or roundtrip sedan service can be arranged in advance by calling the Hilton Pittsburgh at (412) 391-4600.

Hotel parking at the Hilton is valet or in the public garage directly behind the hotel on Stanwick Street.
