Richard Marchi

As Senior Advisor, Policy
and Regulatory Affairs, Dick Marchi contributes to the aviation industry the
wealth of knowledge and experience that he has gained over his career, in order
to strengthen ACI-NA's policy initiatives and member programs. He regularly
prepares policy for consideration by the ACI-NA Board of Directors, as well as
the industry's responses to governmental issues of concern to airports.
Marchi has been an active
member of several Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) advisory committees and
task forces, as well as various Transportation Research Board and National
Academy of Science aviation committees. He currently represents ACI-NA as a vice
chairman of the FAA Aviation Rulemaking Advisory Committee, sits on the NextGen
Airports Working Group Executive Committee, the Commercial Aviation Safety Team
and the Airport Cooperative Research Program governing board.
Prior to joining ACI-NA in April 1994, Marchi was director, aviation planning and
development, for the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) at Boston-Logan International Airport.
He also served as senior project technician/laboratory for space experiments,
for the Center for Space Research in the Department of Aeronautics and
Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Marchi attended St. Bonaventure University in Olean, New York.
