Statistics and Research

ACI-NA works closely with its members to conduct a variety of surveys and research and translates industry statistics into materials used by colleagues throughout the aviation industry, including Congress, the media and members.

Traffic Reports:

Important annual airport statistics break down total passengers, total cargo and total aircraft movements. These statistics are reported by our world headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Read more.

ACI-NA E-Library:

ACI-NA E-Library houses the presentations (2002-Present) made at ACI-NA conferences by airport and associate members, as well as ACI-NA staff.  Conferences are listed under the year they took place; all presentations from that conference will be shown on the screen. You can also search for information spanning the aviation spectrum, either by selecting a specific category or conducting a keyword search.

Economic Studies:

Our nation's economic well-being becomes more and more dependent upon airports and the aviation system. In fact, the U.S. Department of Transportation and others have conducted studies that show for every $1 billion invested in airport development, approximately 40,000 to 50,000 jobs are created and sustained, with related multiplier spending and tax revenue benefits for local, state and federal governments. Research:

Airport and aviation research is conducted by ACI-NA, as well as the Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. Government Accountability Office and the Transportation Research Board.  Read more.
